I really like this one, Diana. I always love your short, imagistic poems… they leave you with a distinct mental image and a nugget of truth that you always knew but somehow didn’t quite notice before. This is a good one for me right now as the semester is ending and I feel like all I’m doing is talking and talking and talking, trying to put out all the little fires and convey all the last little bits of information that need to be conveyed. I’m ready to be quite and look for some lily pads.
